Elizabeth Broadbent reviews The Merry Dredgers
“A tightrope between absurdist fun and dawning dread. Merrily, eerily original, it’s an effortless trope-flipper that reads fast and sticks the landing.”

Daily Affirmations
You are fantastic. You are a hailstorm of Madballs. You are Grimace’s midnight hunger pangs. You are an Ecto Cooler cocktail enjoyed in a haunted Blockbuster. You are a swarm of Furbies warbling at a dying god.

Ways to Help a Writer
Here are some ways to help a writer:
-buy their book
-review their book
-build a castle out of copies of their book
-whisper the title of their book into random seashells
-gift them a top hat filled with bats
-throw their book into the yawning maw of the moon as a sacrifice
Cobs
There should be more foods that grow on cobs. Blueberries on the cob. Fries on the cob. Cobs on the cob. Popping boba containing the ichor of the gods on the cob.
Ratatouilled
I hate when I’m ratatouilled by an entire rat king and they can’t agree on what they want me to do. Cook a meal, swim in the sewers, summon an eldritch cheese god. Make up your minds, guys.
Klara and the Sun
Klara and the Sun is a heckin’ brilliant novel, and it’s available on Kindle right now for $1.99. I don’t know how long this sale will last.
Bones
As we grow up, we should replace all our bones like we do our teeth.
“My spine is loose. My adult spine is starting to come in.”
Beth Tabler’s review of The Merry Dredgers
“It is dark, whimsical, melancholic, and poignant – The Merry Dredgers is some of Jeremy Shipps’s best and most complicated work and should not be missed.” – Beth Tabler
